Box of Shame (Caja de la Vergüenza)
La caja, arrugada, aplastada, casi
inservible; se mantiene únicamente por la fuerza de la construcción de sus
esquinas. Una caja que ha guardado tantos secretos por largo tiempo, secretos
que hoy ya no lo son. La caja señalada y marcada parece que esta lista para ser
desechada, olvidada.
La mitra papal que se encuentra sobre
ésta, representa la renuncia, la decepción y la impotencia de un ser cuya acción
más noble fue comportarse como un ser humano. Este gesto político anuncia un
gran cambio.
La religión cansada, olvidada, perdida…
anhela la llegada de la primavera, que trae consigo un nuevo rostro humilde, que
promete reconstruir con la fuerza que sólo la esperanza porta, una fe por años
malgastada.
Box of shame
The box,
wrinkled, flattened, almost unusable, is maintained only by the power of its
corners. A box that has kept many secrets for a long time, secrets that have
come to light. The marked and labelled box appears already discarded and
forgotten.
The papal mitre
represents the resignation, disappointment and helplessness of a person whose most
noble action was behaving like a human being. This political gesture announces
a big change.
The tired
religion, forgotten, lost ... craves the arrival of spring, which brings a new
humble face, which promises to rebuild with the strength that only hope can
bring, the wasted faith.
